Job summary

You will lead design, weight, stability, and system integration activities for NAVSEA PMS450, interfacing with shipyards, Electric Boat, and customers to deliver safe, capable submarines. The role requires a DoW Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in marine engineering, and proven leadership in naval architecture and project management.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in the marine industry.
• Experience leading Naval Architect teams.
• Proficiency in hull design, stability, weight, performance.
• 2D/3D CAD skills (AutoCAD); Maxsurf advantageous.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize submarines including hull forms and buoyancy.
• Lead weight and stability analyses, inclining, hydrostatics.
• Review shipyard weight reports and ballast proposals.
• Coordinate with NAVSEA, shipyards, and vendors.
• Manage technical documentation and program timelines.
