Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Subcontracts Training and Administration professional for our Escondida project in Chile. This role will lead the preparation and review of bid packages and the development of project contract operating procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities include negotiating with client staff, managing subcontractor performance, and generating status reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication, management and teamwork skills.
• Drafting and negotiation of contracts, changes.
• Knowledge of risk and insurance provisions in procurement and contracts.
• Knowledge of Oracle-DSCS and Primavera-Unifier digital management tools.

Responsibilities

• Management of (Sub)contracts: review progress, forecast and report difficulties.
• Lead bid package preparation and bid evaluation processes.
• Coordinate with designated personnel on contractual rights and obligations.
• Negotiate moderately complex changes with client staff to reach agreement.
• Review letters, payment statements and change requests for follow-up.
• Monitor fulfillment of subcontractors' contractual obligations.
• Prepare periodic status reports for management and stakeholders.
• Manage subcontract administration on project management platforms.
