Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Senior Engineer of Costs and Field Planning for the Escondida project in Chile. You will lead cost control, planning, and reporting for the concrete batching plant and existing plant operations, acting as the field Project Controls focal point.

You will manage dashboards, budgets, staffing data, and schedule progression, coordinating with the project team to deliver timely insights for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in Project Control/Cost Management.
• Experience in engineering and construction management projects, ideally in mining.
• Experience in engineering, procurement, contracting and construction.
• Demonstrated experience in cost engineering activities, including estimation, control and analysis.
• Budget/forecast monitoring and cost and commitment analysis.
• Experience in cost studies using historical data and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project team to provide cost and planning support.
• Execute cost control and planning activities per Bechtel and customer procedures.
• Prepare cost studies using historical data and statistical analysis.
• Develop cost trend estimates for the project cost trend program.
• Monitor and report costs and planning with applicable standards.
• Engage suppliers to update cost databases and participate in meetings.
• Ensure accuracy of cost and planning reports and maintain consistency with prior reports.
