Job summary

Bechtel in Chandler, AZ seeks an experienced Subcontract Administrator to participate in subcontract formation and administration. You will lead bid package preparation, draft project contracts operating procedures, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of service acquisition & procurement regulations, policies and practices.
• Experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations and accounting.
• Experience in engineering/construction contracting practices.
• Experience in developing contract types (LSTK, T&M, UR) and contract terms.
• Broad knowledge and experience in subcontract administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop multiple contracts and/or services agreements simultaneously as assigned.
• Perform formation duties including source and prequalification of bidders, issue RFPs, coordinate clarifications, receive bids, evaluate, and prepare contract documents for execution.
• Implement and maintain Contract Responsibilities Matrix and standard work procedures for Subcontract Administration.
• Administer subcontracts with ongoing progress reviews and risk reporting to management.
• Prepare and maintain control and status reporting documents.
• Organize meetings (bid clarification and pre-award) to ensure mutual understanding of contractual matters.
• Assist project Contracts team with planning, budgeting, and related administrative tasks.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering and Support Services on contractual rights and obligations.
• Represent Bechtel in contractual discussions of moderate complexity.
• Administer information programs for mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions.
• Monitor cost vs scope and prepare periodic status reports for management.
