RTX's Pratt & Whitney unit seeks a senior structural engineer to perform and oversee analyses for fan, LPC, HPC components, including blades, vanes and IBRs, using hand calculations and ANSYS. You will lead redesigns to improve producibility, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on root-cause investigations.

You will document results and present recommendations to management, customers, and IPTs, while contributing to program goals and budgets in a high-visibility role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant engineering experience or Advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience performing structural analysis using ANSYS or equivalent programs.
• Experience with aerospace engine programs and producibility initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Execute and oversee structural analyses for Fan, LPC, HPC components including blades, vanes, and IBRs.
• Lead redesign and producibility improvement activities for cold-section hardware.
• Coach and review work of less-experienced engineers to ensure technical quality.
• Serve as engineering representative on cross-functional teams and drive root-cause investigations.
• Document analyses and present results to IPTs, CIPTs, management, customers and stakeholders.
