Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to address critical water and wastewater infrastructure challenges. You will contribute to diverse projects, learn from multidisciplinary teams, and support design through execution while growing your professional skills.

Hybrid work options are available after the initial onboarding period, and relocation is eligible for qualified candidates. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, with a focus on practical applied knowledge.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Willing to complete pre-employment checks as required (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after onboarding 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, codes and BV policies.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams to support design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Participates in project coordination meetings and works with project teams to resolve design challenges and incorporate client requirements.
• Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis.
