Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineering Team Lead to join our US Mining & Metal, Process & Infrastructure Design team.

This role will lead structural design for complex industrial projects, mentor engineers, and manage teams across Tempe, AZ, South Jordan, UT, or Tucson, AZ. You will provide expert technical support, drive high-level analysis, and coordinate with owners and clients to deliver durable, compliant infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline
Engineer license required (multi-state preferred)
Proficient with structural engineering principles, design/build processes, and project work
Experience with building and infrastructure planning, design, and program/construction management
Strong knowledge of structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, and compliance

Responsibilities

Oversee structural design for complex industrial projects from inception to completion
Mentor junior engineers and manage structural engineers and designers
Lead project budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with owners and clients
Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates
Ensure adherence to QA/QC and applicable regulations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Communicate findings and recommendations through technical reports and presentations
Stay current with structural engineering techniques and technologies
