WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our US Mining & Metal, Process & Infrastructure Design team.

The role can be located in Tempe, AZ, South Jordan, UT, or Tucson, AZ, with responsibilities spanning design, analysis, and field work on water, heavy industry, mining, and power projects. The candidate will review codes, prepare deliverables and cost estimates, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant structural solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• EIT is required; Civil Engineer (PE) or Structural PE preferred with ability to obtain within 1–2 years.
• 3–5 years + structural engineering experience, with 2 years in heavy industry.
• Strong communication with contractors, clients and internal teams.
• Understanding of practical application of structural engineering principles.
• Knowledge of seismic design principles and codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318/350).
• Proficiency with modeling tools such as RISA, ETABS, STRUDL, STAAD, SAFE and SAP2000.

Responsabilités

• Perform analysis and design of structural elements manually and with design software.
• Review building code requirements and design standards.
• Prepare client deliverables including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct structural inspections in concrete, masonry, and steel.
• Review calculations and reports for quality and accuracy.
• Define structural scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
• Prepare/ review engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Support proposals and bids including design-build projects; ensure safety standards.
• Conduct field work for data collection and site inspections.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams on structural tasks.
• Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Utilize CAD/ BIM platforms to develop Construction Documents.
• Limited travel for site investigations and inspections.
