Job summary

NPAworldwide seeks a Lead Structural Engineer to guide structural design for food and beverage facilities from concept through construction and into operations. You will lead a team, coordinate with operations, preconstruction, architectural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cost-effective, schedulable solutions.

Responsibilities include engineering design leadership, development of construction documents, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
5+ years of relevant structural engineering design experience.
Experience in food & beverage, freezer/cooler, or industrial manufacturing facility projects is desirable.
Experience with Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

Engineer of record for in-house structural design services.
Provide structural engineering evaluations and designs for repair/remediation of emergencies.
Produce construction documents (drawings and specs) and marketing materials for project pursuits.
Deliver required deliverables for construction document milestones.
Design of varying structural systems (concrete, masonry, wood, steel) for industrial, educational, storage, office, and residential buildings.
Coordinate with architecture, MEP, refrigeration, and process engineering teams to develop integrated solutions.
Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
