Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our Food and Beverage division in the Atlanta area. The role leads the development of structural solutions from concept through construction, collaborating with operations, preconstruction, architecture, and other engineering disciplines.

You will oversee design, coordination, and production of structural design services, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement of standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years relevant structural engineering design experience.
• Experience in food & beverage, freezer/cooler, controlled environment or industrial manufacturing facility projects is desirable.
• Experience in Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build Best Practices.

Responsibilities

• Engineer of Record for in-house structural design services.
• Provide structural engineering evaluations and designs for repair and remediation of emergency conditions.
• Provide construction document production (drawings + specifications) as well as marketing material for project pursuits.
• Provide and deliver required deliverables for construction document milestones.
• Establish drafting templates and libraries for Design workflows.
• Support 5D / Model Based Estimating collaboration with Preconstruction.
• Design of varying structural systems including concrete, masonry, wood, and steel for diverse building typologies.
• Knowledgeable of up-to-date construction methodologies and building codes.
• Experience in construction means and methods with technology across project sizes.
• Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and designers.
