Job summary

Hanson Professional Services seeks a Structural Bridge Engineer to lead highway and railway bridge projects within our Infrastructure Market. You will perform advanced calculations, design analyses, and develop construction-ready plans, collaborating with senior staff and clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and proposal support, with opportunities to work on national projects and contribute to diverse structural assignments across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework required.
• PE registration and SE registration preferred; licensure required/obtainable.
• Experience with DOT/IDOT or similar bridge design practices is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in leading highway and railway bridge projects.
• Perform complex engineering calculations and use analysis/design software.
• Prepare specifications, details, and construction plans.
• Mentor entry- and mid-level staff and technicians.
• Support project pursuits, scope development, and fee proposals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
