Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain high standards of decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. You will work closely with OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays, and case carts, supporting patient care.

This role requires certification and demonstrates advanced knowledge of sterilization techniques and interdepartmental

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of sterile processing experience
• CRCST or CSPDT certification

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and assembling of complex surgical trays and equipment using established count sheets.
• Sterilize instruments and trays following manufacturer instructions and department policies.
• Prioritize sterile products, trays and case carts based on the OR schedule and needs of staff.
• Maintain consistent workflow between the OR and Sterile Processing while delivering customer service excellence.
