Job summary

ABS Wavesight seeks a Lead, Site Reliability Engineering, Operations & Product Support to establish reliable SaaS operations for its Fleet Management System. You will drive observability, incident response, and automation while collaborating with platform, engineering, QA, and security teams.

You will lead readiness for beta and production releases, mentor the SRE team, and partner with customer support to deliver scalable, trustworthy software for shipowners and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of site reliability/production engineering or related leadership experience.
• Experience operating production SaaS services and improving reliability through automation.
• Observability, on-call practices, runbooks, and reliability measures in production systems.
• Partnering with software/platform engineering and customer-facing support during releases and go-lives.
• Experience applying AI-assisted tools to technical operations with proper validation.

Responsibilities

• Define service health measures and reliability objectives for FMS.
• Establish end-to-end observability across applications, infra, integrations, and AI services.
• Lead incident-response model, on-call and escalation practices, and post-incident reviews.
• Design for resilience, performance, capacity, backup and recovery.
• Define operational-readiness criteria for beta and production releases.
• Establish the technical support escalation model and drive permanent fixes.
• Support migrations, go-lives, and post-launch stabilization with monitoring plans.
• Automate routine operational tasks and AI-assisted workflows with controls and approvals.
• Track trends and communicate risk and progress to leadership.
• Mentor SRE/production-operations capability as FMS scales.
