Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety protocols in a fast-paced setting.

The position is on-site and live-in, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week and opportunities to lead a dynamic team within a vibrant camp community. Competitive pay with bonuses and room & board are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, identify Big 9 allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure timely meal service.
• Strict allergen and safety compliance; manage Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan protocols.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
