Job summary

Loud Solutions seeks a senior engineer to lead Electrical Power System and RF/Communications design for a modular autonomous space platform. You will manage power budgets, solar/battery architectures, and high‑assurance data links while coordinating with the CTO and engineering leadership.

The role demands depth in EPS, RF systems, and program management for key IP assets. Expect rapid growth, equity opportunities, and a foundational team position on a frontier spacecraft program.

Qualifications

  • : MS/BS in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering is required.
  • : 7+ years of experience spanning both spacecraft EPS design and RF/communications systems.
  • : Experience sizing solar arrays and battery systems for LEO spacecraft and performing power budget analysis.
  • : Demonstrated experience performing link budget analysis for space-to-ground communication links.
  • : Familiarity with space communication standards (CCSDS, DVB-S2, or equivalent).
  • : Knowledge of PCDU architecture, battery charge/discharge management, and EMC/EMI design practices.
  • : U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design of Electrical Power System and RF/Communications systems for a spacecraft.
  • Develop system-level power budgets across mission phases (orbit, eclipse, contingency, peak demand).
  • Design core EPS bus, solar array sizing, battery management, and power distribution architecture (PCDU).
  • Create solar panel accommodation strategies and daytime/nighttime trade-offs for power generation.
  • Lead development of EPS components selection, ICDs, and test plans; coordinate with thermal engineers.
  • Design the core data/telemetry links (S-band/UHF) and perform link budget analyses for nominal, LEOP, and contingency.
  • Define security architecture for satellite communications chain and ensure RF system EMC/EMI compliance.
  • Oversee integration/test activities (AIT) for EPS and RF systems and contribute to hardware validation.
