Job summary

E-Space seeks a Staff Battery Electrical Engineer to lead spacecraft battery management system development for our satellite program. You will drive PCB layout, circuit analysis, and system integration, collaborating with Electrical, Software and Systems teams in a fast-paced space environment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power electronics and 3+ years in battery pack design, plus proficiency with Altium Designer and radiation-aware design for space hardware.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power electronics design including schematic capture, PCB layout and testing.
• 3+ years experience in battery pack electrical design.
• Space environment design experience including radiation impacts and mitigation.
• Proficiency with test and manufacturing support for battery systems.

Responsibilities

• Own development of spacecraft battery management system electronics from concept to flight.
• Develop and implement PCBA and battery pack requirements, use-cases and integration.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout of battery circuits using Altium Designer.
• Perform circuit analyses including power, SWaP, tolerance and reliability.
• Collaborate on electro-mechanical design, test, qualification, and manufacturing of battery packs.
• Lead design reviews for inter-disciplinary teams and provide flight support.
