Job summary
Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Principal Space Vehicle Autonomy Architect to lead on-orbit autonomy strategies across vehicle, sensor/payload, and ground elements. You will guide trade studies, roadmap autonomy capabilities, and develop mission-level requirements for national security and commercial programs.
Ideal candidates have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a passion for scalable autonomy, with experience in rendezvous, proximity operations, and fleet coordination across
Qualifications
- BS in a technical field and extensive experience in space mission design and autonomy.
- 10+ years in space autonomy, on-orbit operations, and multi-spacecraft coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to develop CONOPs, requirements, and interface docs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers and teams to define cross-functional autonomy deliverables.
- Author proposal documents for national security, civil, and commercial customers.
- Lead on-orbit autonomy architectures including rendezvous and multi-spacecraft coordination.
- Develop lifecycle autonomy concepts from initialization to deorbit and OTA updates.
- Mentor teams and support live autonomous operations during missions.
