Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking an experienced field technician to maintain utility-scale PV power plants, monitor SCADA systems, and perform electrical maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, preventative maintenance, and adherence to procedures within diverse environments.

Ideal candidates hold electrical certifications and a technical degree, with 3+ years in solar O&M and strong knowledge of high/medium voltage systems. Travel to sites is required, and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Electrical certifications and journeyman status preferred.
• College/technical degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Experience with utility-scale PV O&M and high/medium voltage systems.
• Military, utility, or power industry training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly KPI tracking and support plant efficiency.
• Promote a safe work environment by following company protocols.
• Ensure personal safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Train staff on Job Hazard Analysis and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
• Perform PM work on site components and document results.
• Train personnel in safety, environmental, and procedural requirements.
• Coordinate on-site project planning, installations, and testing.
• Prepare and manage work orders, testing instructions, and procedures.
• Ensure all documentation and reports are complete and filed.
• Attend required training on safety and environmental topics.
