Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking an experienced Special Projects O&M Technician (Level 3) to serve as a field expert in high‑voltage solar and storage systems. You will own project sites, supervise subcontracted labor, and mentor junior technicians while advancing through a formal Field Tech Development Pathway.

Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually, with travel up to 75%. Benefits include a performance bonus, company truck, PPE, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, and tuition

Qualifications

• 75% travel on short notice, including after-hours work.
• 2–4 years of electrical systems experience in solar O&M, installation or commissioning.
• High school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour, NFPA 70e, FAA Part 107 required or preferred NABCEP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections and高级 preventative maintenance.
• On-site leadership of subcontracted labor and junior technicians.
• Perform advanced diagnostics in 600Vac / 1500Vdc environments.
• Develop and review hazardous energy control procedures and switch plans.
• Document findings, prepare technical reports, and mentor field staff.
