Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Solar O&M Technician Level 2 to perform advanced inspections, preventative maintenance, and core system troubleshooting. You’ll work independently in high‑voltage environments and mentor junior technicians on site.

The role offers $75,000–$95,000 annually, plus an 8% performance bonus, 80% health premium coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and 8 weeks parental leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New Mexico CID Journeyman Electrician certificate (EE-98J).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar or related electrical field.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Familiar with diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspections and preventive maintenance on solar energy systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues in 600Vac and 1500Vdc environments.
• Lead on-site with junior technicians and follow development pathway.
• Create documentation and reports of inspections and repairs.
