Job summary

New Energy Equity's Energy Support Services division seeks a Special Projects O&M Technician (Level 2) to perform advanced inspections, project execution, and diagnostics in high-voltage solar and storage systems.

This role requires up to 75% travel, independent work, and supervision of subcontractors. You will advance along a field tech pathway toward Technician III, with company-paid training and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in electrical field preferred.
• 2–4 years of demonstrated experience with electrical systems, solar O&M, installation, or commissioning.
• Ability to read PV system as-builts, electrical schematics, and single-line drawings.
• Proven ability to work independently in high-voltage environments with safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of commercial/industrial PV systems.
• Explain and guide junior technicians on-site; oversee subcontracted labor.
• Utilize DAS to diagnose system performance and develop client proposals.
• Document faults, nonconformances, and time/materials accurately.
