Job summary

Energy Support Services, a New Energy Equity company, seeks a Solar O&M Technician Level 2 to advance field inspections, preventive maintenance, and core system troubleshooting. You’ll work safely in high-voltage environments, guide junior technicians on-site, and follow a defined development pathway toward Technician Level 3.

Salary ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually, with bonuses, benefits, and company-provided tools and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar industry or a related electrical field.
• Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems and solar energy principles.
• Familiar with diagnostic tools such as I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• FAA Part 107 Certification and familiarity operating drones for thermography is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety in the field and use proper PPE for each task.
• Perform comprehensive electrical and mechanical inspections of solar energy systems.
• Conduct advanced preventive maintenance including infrared thermography and I/V curve tracing.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system and equipment issues, including 600Vac and 1500Vdc environments.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of inspections and repairs.
