Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Solar O&M Technician Level 3 in Minnesota to lead comprehensive inspections, troubleshoot complex solar and storage systems, and mentor junior technicians. You’ll own sites, influence how work gets done, and follow a defined pathway toward Technician Level 4 advancement.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in solar or related electrical field.
• Associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e certifications.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy technologies, and grid-tied systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive inspections of solar power plants.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Supervise and train junior technicians on procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues, including grid integration.
• Create and maintain documentation of inspections and repairs.
