Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Chief Technology Office to join the Auth & Auth TSE team in providing deep technical support for identity and authentication systems. You will own complex integrations, diagnose issues, and mentor others while advancing enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Customer-facing solution design experience with engineering customers.
• Coding or scripting proficiency; able to read and write code in any language.
• Technical writing and review abilities; clear documentation.
• Broad systems integration experience across many systems, protocols and languages.
• Root-cause diagnostic rigor using logs, traces, tokens.
• Incident and release support discipline; stays composed under pressure.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with approved workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an in-region, front-line technical support point across the Auth & Auth portfolio.
• Partner with engineering customers to design and validate their integrations.
• Own complex incidents spanning multiple systems and drive to resolution.
• Read and write code daily for reproductions, diagnostics, and reviews.
• Author and review runbooks and root-cause write-ups.
• Provide regional escalation coverage and mentor other engineers.
• Promote AI-assisted software development practices to improve quality and speed.
• Apply SDLC tooling and automation to improve value and reliability.
