Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer & Community Banking division to design and deliver a scalable identity and onboarding platform. You will lead an agile team building reusable identity journeys, with emphasis on policy-driven orchestration, event-driven architecture, and secure coding practices.

You will mentor engineers, drive code quality, and contribute to migration towards platform services while embracing AI-assisted development and strong observability

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience designing and engineering workflow orchestration for policy-driven customer journeys.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed tracing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reusable identity sub-journey components for onboarding across lines of business.
• Develop automation layer to move journeys from approval to production with audit trails.
• Establish eventing framework and observability for multi-service journeys.
• Create developer tools, API contracts, sandbox environments, and templates for LB teams.
• Mentor engineers, set standards, and lead rigorous code reviews.
• Build migration tooling to move from bespoke services to platform components.
• Adopt AI-assisted engineering practices with quality and security controls.
• Ensure secure handling and compliant use of AI outputs and data.
