Qualifications

• 5+ years practical experience in software engineering
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more OO languages (C#, Python, Rust)
• Database expertise (1+ SQL platforms) and streaming event driven integrations (Kafka)
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools with team
• Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows
• Proficient in SDLC including TDD/BDD/Evals
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security)
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry IT systems
• Practical cloud native security management in AWS, Azure or GCP

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
• Understands cybersecurity and regulatory controls obligations for a global financial services organization.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
