Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in the Corporate Sector, Identity & Access Management, to lead design, development, and security-focused delivery of scalable technology products. You will guide AI-assisted engineering practices and ensure robust architecture across services.

As a core technical contributor, you will produce design artifacts, drive secure coding standards, and collaborate across teams to deliver trusted solutions for the firm’s objectives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering; 5+ years of applied experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Strong secure coding practices and data security awareness.
• Strong CS fundamentals, algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency with Java and Spring Framework; RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and debugging with the ability to tackle complex problems.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with secure coding and testing standards.
• Applies SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
• Creates secure production code and maintains algorithms.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Identifies patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to communities of practice exploring new technologies.
