Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Deposits team within Consumer & Community Banking. You will drive Live Site Management, SRE practices, observability, and AI-assisted engineering to deliver scalable, secure technology products.

You will shape cloud architecture, improve reliability across multi-region deployments, and communicate strategy to executives while coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption of AI in delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Deep, broad AWS expertise across compute, data, networking, security, and observability, with proven production architecture experience.
• Systems thinking and ability to reason about trade-offs and dependencies.
• Strategic command of cost, scalability, automation, reliability, and AI integration.
• Hands-on depth to validate and prototype ideas.
• Executive communication and rigorous judgment in a regulated environment.
• Proven experience managing cloud-hosted production services and Live Site Management in complex environments.
• Strong SRE and observability expertise: SLI/SLO, telemetry, tracing, alerts, capacity, performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Live Site Management and cloud production practices including readiness, governance, incident response, and risk reduction.
• Define and improve SRE practices, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and reliability engineering.
• Advance observability via logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and anomaly detection.
• Drive major incident response and durable remediation across teams.
• Establish production health, availability, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices with validated outputs and reusable patterns.
• Shape end-to-end AWS architecture strategy and optimize cloud cost across the product.
• Advance resiliency strategies including multi-region active-active and disaster recovery.
• Evolve automation and infrastructure-as-code; mature AI integration in workflows.
• Clarify complex technical strategy for leadership narratives.
