JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer & Community Banking CTC. You will be a core technical contributor driving secure, scalable software solutions across multiple business areas while guiding AI-assisted engineering practices.

The role emphasizes critical technology solutions, strong design and development skills, and leadership in enterprise-wide initiatives with focus on security and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools with validation for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and security expectations.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Practical cloud native experience.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with validation standards and pattern reuse.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and automated capabilities to improve value of automation.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs.
