Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of experience.
• Broad AWS expertise across compute, data, networking, security, and observability.
• Systems-thinking to assess trade-offs, failure modes, and dependencies.
• Strategic view of cost, scalability, automation, reliability, and AI integration.
• Hands-on ability to validate and prototype ideas.
• Strong executive communication and independent judgment in regulated environments.
• Experience managing cloud-hosted production services and Live Site Management.
• SRE and observability expertise: SLI/SLO, telemetry, tracing, alerts, capacity, performance.
• Experience leading high-severity incident response and RCAs.
• Production-readiness standards, runbooks, dashboards, health objectives.
• Guiding use of AI-assisted development tools with validation standards.
• Understanding responsible AI use, data handling, and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Live Site Management and cloud production operations.
• Define and improve SRE practices with SLIs/SLOs and capacity planning.
• Improve observability with logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts.
• Lead major incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Establish measures for production health for leaders.
• Encourage enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Use the SDLC toolchain to increase automation value.
• Shape end-to-end AWS architecture strategy.
• Advance resilience with multi-region, failover and DR.
• Evolve automation, IaC and AI integration.
• Raise architectural standards and decision-making.
• Translate complex tech strategies for leadership.
