Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Deposits team within Consumer & Community Banking. You will be a core technical contributor driving secure, scalable, and trusted technology products across multiple business functions.

You will lead live site management, define SRE practices, and advance observability while guiding AI-assisted development and cost optimization across a multi-region AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Deep, broad AWS expertise across compute, data, networking, security, and observability.
• Proven production architecture experience in cloud-hosted services.
• Executive communication and independent judgment in high-stakes environments.
• Experience leading Live Site Management in complex, business-critical settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead Live Site Management and cloud production practices (production readiness, change governance, incident response).
• Define and improve SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning).
• Advance observability with logs, metrics, dashboards, tracing, and anomaly detection.
• Lead major incident response and root-cause analysis for durable remediation.
• Establish production health metrics for leadership visibility and decision-making.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with validated outputs.
• Improve automation and code-quality through AI-enabled tooling and SDLC enhancements.
• Shape AWS cloud architecture strategy and optimize cloud costs.
• Advance resiliency with multi-region active-active failover and DR.
• Mature AI integration across engineering and product workflows.
• Set and communicate shared architectural standards across teams.
