Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to modernize the Enterprise Entitlements platform in a cloud-native environment. You will provide technical leadership for design, development, and delivery of scalable identity, access, and authorization solutions across Digital Banking.

Responsibilities include building Java/Spring Boot applications, implementing Kubernetes-based microservices, shaping API strategies, and guiding CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience or Bachelor's with 5+ years in systems analysis or application development.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise; RESTful APIs and microservices experience.
• Experience with Angular and modern front-end development; Kubernetes and cloud-native development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern UI frameworks.
• Lead cloud-native solutions leveraging Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Define API and integration strategies across enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with architects and security to implement authorization and policy-driven access controls.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, resiliency, and operational best practices.
