Job summary

Genesys is hiring a Lead Software Engineer for the CRM and Integrations team within Genesys Cloud. You will design, build, and scale integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, and our framework, delivering cloud-based services that connect CRM and telephony.

You’ll work on distributed, cloud-based systems handling routing, delivery, and observability across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is a senior engineer who can lead technically, influence architecture, and ensure

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership impact.
• Strong web UI and REST API-based architecture understanding.
• Experience building cloud-native or microservice apps.
• Hands-on with major CRM platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least two modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with NestJS or similar Node.js backend frameworks.
• Solid fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS).
• OAuth 2.0, WebRTC and cross-origin communication patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build modern integration solutions using UI frameworks, REST APIs, and cloud services.
• Develop and maintain integrations with CRM systems and third-party providers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Write tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Improve reliability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and incident response.
• Deploy and maintain large-scale AWS infrastructure with focus on reliability.
• Contribute to on-call rotations and platform operations improvements.
• Experiment with AI-assisted development and new technologies to boost productivity.
