Job summary

Genesys Cloud Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Software Engineer to join the CRM and Integrations team. You will design, build, and scale integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, and AWS, delivering cloud-based services for seamless CRM connections.

You will lead UI and backend work, ensure reliability, and mentor peers while driving architectural decisions to improve scalability and operability. This role emphasizes AI-assisted development and practical, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with technical leadership and cross-team impact.
• Strong understanding of modern web UI frameworks and REST API-based architectures.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native or microservice-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major CRM platform (Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major CRM APIs (Apex, Lightning, NestJS, etc.).
• Full-stack development with front-end and back-end proficiency.
• Proficiency in at least two modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, etc.).
• Experience with NestJS or equivalent Node.js backend frameworks.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems design.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS).
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 / PKCE, WebRTC, and cross-origin (iFrame, PostMessage).
• Experience with automated testing, CI, and CD practices.
• Self-starter with problem-solving and growth mindset.
• Pragmatic, action-oriented, and growth-minded.

Responsibilities

• Build modern integration solutions using web UI frameworks, REST APIs, and cloud services.
• Develop and maintain integration capabilities with CRM systems and third-party providers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable capabilities.
• Contribute to technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Write and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and incident response.
• Deploy, automate, and maintain large-scale AWS infrastructure focusing on reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation and improve service operations.
• Foster innovation with AI-assisted development workflows and modern engineering approaches.
• Apply AI-powered development practices to accelerate prototyping and testing.
• Review code, mentor peers, share best practices, and help other teams resolve pain points.
• Troubleshoot production incidents with urgency and sound judgment.
