Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a seasoned project support professional to help execute sustainable infrastructure projects across building systems. You will assist Project Executives, Construction Managers and delivery teams to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and compliant with applicable codes and safety standards.

You will also participate in field surveys, measurements, estimates, and procurement logistics while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or equivalent work related experience and a minimum of 4 years of installation and crew leadership experience in the Building Construction Industry.
• Experience with Lighting, HVAC controls, Electrical Systems, Solar Systems, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems is desired.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Strong PC working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment.
• Able to travel based on assigned projects, as projects may exist outside of assigned geography.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of Sustainable Infrastructure Projects to ensure they are done accurately, on-time, and within scope.
• Inspect work on job sites to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with contractual scope.
• Assist in surveys, field measurements, and development of estimates and quotations.
• Communicate project progress and issues to management; support procurement and installation.
• Train installers and subcontractors; oversee construction for compliance with specs.
