Job summary

Herc Rentals is hiring a Shop Supervisor in Eloy, AZ to lead a team of heavy equipment mechanics, yard workers and utility staff. You will train, manage and appraise performance, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and high-quality service calls, while representing Herc Rentals to customers.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong mechanical skills and the ability to maintain a safe and efficient shop environment.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Own a general mechanic’s tool set; willing to expand personal collection.

Responsibilities

• Develop regular schedules for mechanics and yard technicians to maintain heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Operate equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, and pumps.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Audit and maintain timesheets, checklists, records and repair logs.
• Manage and order parts for equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist mechanics with duties and record-keeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
