Herc Rentals is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead the branch's heavy equipment mechanics, yard workers, and utility staff, ensuring safe, timely service.

The role requires strong mechanical expertise, staff training and development, scheduling maintenance, and maintaining high quality service for rental and service equipment.

Salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 with a company vehicle, reflecting leadership responsibilities in a North America-wide operation.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license.
• Own a general mechanic's tool set and be willing to expand.

Responsibilities

• Develop consistent and regular maintenance schedules for mechanics and yard technicians.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Operate equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, generators, hydraulics, and pumps.
• Communicate effectively with customers in a professional manner.
• Audit and maintain timesheets, checklists, receiving records, and repair logs.
• Manage and order parts for equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist mechanics with various duties.
• Assist with service and maintenance record keeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
