Job summary

The U.S. Pacific Fleet is seeking a seasoned program manager to provide managerial and administrative leadership for technical planning of shipboard projects.

You will assign work to subordinates, review engineering instructions, and develop approaches across multiple disciplines to achieve project objectives. You will ensure that engineering products are integrated into the shipyard's productive effort and will analyze the effectiveness of planning programs, operations, and processes, using

Qualifications

• Experience planning, directing, and coordinating project operations for shipboard systems and equipment.
• Ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams across functional organizations.
• Familiarity with engineering instructions and procedures and the ability to develop new approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial and administrative duties to meet broad level goals and initiatives in technical planning for projects.
• Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities.
• Review engineering instructions and procedures and develop new approaches and modify standard practices across disciplines.
• Ensure engineering products are integrated into the total shipyard productive effort to achieve project objectives.
• Analyze and advise on effectiveness of engineering and planning programs, operations, methods, techniques, and processes.
• Utilize advanced concepts of project management in defining, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and directing major pre-planning efforts for multiple projects.
