Job summary

Tecnico is seeking a Project Manager (Ship Repair) to lead assigned ship repair projects from planning through delivery in a dynamic shipyard setting. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure contract compliance while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will act as the primary liaison to U.S. Navy representatives and other stakeholders, drive progress meetings, and deliver accurate reports and forecasts to meet scope and schedule commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management or supervisory experience in ship repair or maritime sectors.
• Minimum 3 years managing U.S. Navy vessel repairs or shipyard projects.
• Experience in project financial management and reporting, contract administration and change management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA standards, military specifications and shipyard safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead ship repair, overhaul, and maintenance projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules, WBS, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, subcontractors, and procurement for timely execution.
• Liaise with U.S. Navy representatives, government officials, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct progress meetings, issue reports, and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage budgets, track costs, and provide financial forecasts.
• Ensure contract compliance, change control, and scope management.
• Prepare progress, invoice, and closeout documentation.
