Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Lead Service Technician Special Operations - Major Correctives to provide technical leadership and execution support for major corrective projects across the wind fleet. You will oversee complex repairs, major component exchanges, recommissioning activities, and specialized operations while ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The role requires leadership, deep wind turbine knowledge, and strong coordination with field teams, customers, and contractors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of wind industry experience including troubleshooting, maintenance, or corrective activities.
• Experience leading major component exchanges and complex field service projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support safe execution of major corrective maintenance, main component exchanges, and recommissioning projects.
• Serve as technical lead for specialized service operations and inspections.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to technicians in the field.
• Coordinate field activities to meet safety, quality, and Nordex standards.
• Manage lifting operations with crane providers and ensure certification compliance.
• Oversee subcontractors during project execution and be primary customer contact for status updates.
• Develop lifting plans and verify safety and operation requirements are met.
