Job summary

The Overlook in Charlton, MA is seeking a Lead Server to train and mentor the Service Team while delivering a high-quality dining experience for Residents. The role requires hands-on leadership across all shifts, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

As a central figure in Culinary Services, you will champion local and seasonal offerings, assist in menu tastings, and support management in elevating service levels and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or culinary degree required.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of employment.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local health regulations.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with Residents, clients, vendors, Team Members.

Responsibilities

• Represent with a positive commitment our ‘Culture of Excellence’ through actions and words.
• Lead training and coaching of Service Team Members to ensure effective onboarding and ongoing development.
• Support upscale, casual, and catering service operations including meals, events, and campus dining.
• Integrate training platforms to enable cross-training across dining programs.
• Guide Service Team with new service standards and communicate expectations for program advancement.
• Ensure efficiencies and maintain safety, sanitation, and quality standards per regulations.
