Job summary

Bridgewater Retirement Community is seeking a Lead Dining Server to oversee daily dining operations and guide a small server team in delivering exceptional service to residents. The role emphasizes warmth, efficiency, and high standards in a resident-centered setting.

Schedule is 11a-7pm with every other weekend rotation. The position offers comprehensive perks and opportunities for growth in a nationally recognized senior living community. Leadership and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must treat residents, family, guests, and coworkers with kindness and provide excellent customer service.
• Criminal background check and drug screen required prior to starting.
• Must read menus, instruction sheets, diet orders, recipes, and understand food prep and textures.
• Serving or customer service and leadership experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred, but can be obtained on the job.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily dining room operations with warmth and attention to detail.
• Supervise, assign, and assist servers to ensure timely, quality service.
• Monitor meal delivery for proper temperature and presentation.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, table setups, and cleanliness.
• Assist with training new team members and promote team success.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with food handling regulations.
• Attend and contribute to team huddles, food safety meetings, and learning circles.
• Report hazards, accidents, and equipment concerns to dining leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a neat appearance.
