Job summary

Community First Solutions is seeking a Lead Server at our Westover senior living community to supervise the dining team and ensure resident-centered service. You will lead daily dining room operations, mentor staff, and work with the Chef Manager to deliver warm, attentive meals.

Responsibilities include hands-on service when needed, maintaining food safety and dietary compliance, and training new team members in a fast-paced environment. This role starts at $16/hr and requires open availability.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards; ability to follow dietary guidelines and diet cards
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout shift
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• 1 year of related experience preferred, ideally in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant, or similar setting

Overview

Lead a team dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences that nourish, comfort, and bring joy—while supporting the well-being of the residents who call our communities home. Community First Solutions is seeking a Lead Server to join our dining services team at our Westover senior living community. As Lead Server, you'll play a key leadership role in supervising our dining team and ensuring every resident receives an exceptional, resident-centered dining experience. Reporting to the Chef Manager and working closely with the Hospitality Manager, you'll oversee daily dining room operations, assign and monitor server duties, support training of new team members, and step in to deliver hands‑on service—from greeting residents to meal and beverage service—when needed. You'll also help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and dietary compliance throughout the dining room.

This role is ideal for someone with prior serving experience who's ready to lead, loves building connections with older adults, and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming dining environment.

Pay: Starting at $16/hr, based on years of experience

Schedule: Open availability required (weekdays, weekends, holidays, AM/PM shifts)
