Job summary

Willamette View seeks a dynamic Lead Server to provide hands-on leadership across dining outlets, delivering exceptional service and upholding Steps of Service. You will coach and mentor staff, ensure timely service, and maintain excellent guest relations in a fast-paced senior community.

Two years of server experience and leadership/training credentials are preferred; a Food Handler’s card is required. This on-site role offers a full-time schedule in Portland, OR.

Qualifications

• Two years server experience.
• One year leadership and/or training experience preferred.
• Food handler’s card required.
• High school education required.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead across dining outlets, setting the tone for hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Lead by example—deliver enthusiastic, prompt, and personalized service reflecting excellence.
• Guide and support team members during each shift; oversee side work, opening/closing duties, and overall service flow.
• Step in for leadership in the absence of a manager to resolve concerns and ensure proper operations.
• Maintain accurate reports, voids, and promotional approvals; apply strong menu knowledge to describe dishes.
