Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Lead Server in Birmingham, AL where you will provide outstanding food and beverage service and lead by example to uphold the highest guest experience standards. You will train and coach Servers, coordinate daily floor activities, and ensure brand and service procedures are consistently followed.

You will monitor guest satisfaction, assist with opening/closing, and manage dining room flow while maintaining knowledge of menus and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding food and beverage service and serve as a role model.
• Lead by example to deliver guest experiences and quickly resolve issues.
• Coordinate daily activities of Servers and staff during shifts.
• Assist in training, onboarding and mentoring new team members.
• Ensure Brand Standards and service procedures are followed.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns for a positive dining experience.
• Assist with opening, closing and shift transitions.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, ingredients and beverages.
• Oversee table setup, cleanliness, and station organization.
• Assist with seating guests and managing dining room flow.
• Support inventory control and restocking of supplies.
• Process POS transactions accurately.
• Communicate operational needs and guest feedback to management.
• Ensure health, safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Step into leadership duties when supervisors are unavailable.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
