Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities for complex, large-scale projects in Texas. You will work with the Project Manager and leadership to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of experience, manage multi-million dollar scopes, and provide advanced oversight of field teams, while developing recovery plans and maintaining strong owner and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8–10 years of industry experience, including leadership of major scopes or full projects.
• Experience managing scopes or projects valued at $250MM+. Read and interpret drawings, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for major project scopes or full project execution.
• Coordinate and schedule the work of tradespeople, subcontractors, professionals, and laborers.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors prior to each phase of work.
• Provide direction to Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Foremen, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Participate in owner, architect, and design coordination meetings.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans and phased jobsite utilization plans.
• Contribute to CPM schedule development and short-term look-aheads.
• Evaluate field progress and develop recovery strategies when needed.
• Plan manpower and personnel needs to support production goals.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance; lead toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company safety procedures.
• Manage QC processes, inspections, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Read and interpret drawings and contract documents; perform constructability reviews.
