Job summary

Yates Construction seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site construction for large-scale projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget alignment. You will mentor field staff, coordinate trades, and drive execution with the PM and project leadership in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage CPM scheduling, site logistics, and risk controls while fostering strong owner/subcontractor relationships and upholding ethics and company standards across multiple phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 8–10 years of industry experience with leadership of major scopes or full projects.
• Experience managing $250MM+ projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and construction sequencing knowledge.
• Solid knowledge of MEP systems and risk factors.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for major project scopes or full project execution.
• Coordinate and schedule tradespeople, subcontractors, professionals, and laborers.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before each phase.
• Provide direction to Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Foremen.
• Participate in owner, architect, and design coordination meetings.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans, crane plans, and phased jobsite plans.
• Contribute to CPM schedule development and look-aheads.
• Evaluate field progress and develop recovery strategies.
• Plan manpower and personnel needs to support production goals.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance; lead toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Ensure OSHA standards and site safety procedures are followed.
• Manage QC processes, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Interpret drawings and contract documents; perform constructability reviews.
• Ensure as-built drawings and revision logs are maintained.
• Review quantity takeoffs and materials management during buyout and execution.
• Oversee project equipment needs (cranes, trucks, trailers).
• Track milestones and ensure timely phase completion.
• Manage punch list development, execution, and closeout.
• Support permit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Document and report site activities and issues to leadership.
• Mentor junior superintendents and field staff.
• Represent the company professionally in meetings and presentations.
• Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Uphold company values, ethics, and code of conduct.
