Job summary

Yates Construction seeks a seasoned Superintendent to monitor, direct, and coordinate field operations for a project area, working with project management and engineers to lead safety, schedule, quality, and budget while mentoring junior team members.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, extensive trades experience, and a proactive approach to planning and problem solving on site, including toolbox talks and site logistics coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum of six years of industry experience.
• Experience managing scopes of work valued over $1MM.
• Strong understanding of planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, manuals, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field operations and safety for the project site and lead the management team.
• Lead toolbox talks and oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance.
• Develop site logistics plan and scopes of work for trades.
• Review quantity takeoffs and materials management during buyout.
• Participate in CPM schedule development and short-term look-ahead activities.
• Lead meetings and coordinate with owners representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
