Job summary

W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead on-site construction for large-scale projects in Texas.

You will manage safety, quality, schedule, and budget, and collaborate with the Project Manager while mentoring field teams. The role requires 8–10 years of leadership experience, strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to read plans and manage CPM schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of industry experience including leadership of major scopes or full projects.
• Experience managing scopes or projects valued at $250MM+.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and construction sequencing knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction tech platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for major project scopes or full project execution.
• Coordinate and schedule the work of tradespeople, subcontractors, professionals, and laborers.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors prior to each phase of work.
• Provide direction to Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Foremen, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Participate in and help lead owner, architect, and design coordination meetings.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans, crane plans, and phased jobsite utilization plans.
