Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a hands‑on Superintendent to lead field operations for large commercial projects in Texas. You will coordinate trades, manage safety, quality and schedule, and work with project leaders to keep milestones on track.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering, at least six years’ experience, and strong leadership with excellent communication. You’ll mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum six years’ industry experience.
• Experience managing scopes over $1M.
• Strong planning and scheduling abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Mentoring and performance evaluation of junior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Schedule activities of tradespeople and laborers and communicate instructions.
• Lead preconstruction meetings with subcontractors for each phase.
• Plan manpower and personnel on site.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and project compliance.
• Develop site logistics and scopes of work for trades.
• Track milestones and develop recovery plans when needed.
